Quick help
After the phone app opens, the optional Journal field lets you save a private note. Open the Journal tab to review, edit, or delete entries.
During onboarding, choose Mom, Dad, or another parent or guardian, then enter a phone number or select one with your device's contact picker.
Open Settings, choose Check-in routine, then add or remove weekly windows and save your changes.
Confirm reminders are enabled in Call Mom and that notification permission is enabled in your device settings. Call Mom schedules reminders locally on your device.
Call Mom records a timestamp only after the phone's dialer opens successfully. It does not detect whether the call was placed, answered, or completed.
Open Settings → Data & privacy → Clear all local data. This cancels Call Mom reminders and destroys the encrypted app state on this device. There is no Call Mom cloud backup in the initial release.
The initial release has no login or account. Your profile, routine, Journal entries, reminders, and dialer-open history remain encrypted on your device. It does not connect to a Call Mom app server, and JavaScript HTTP requests are blocked. A later release is planned to offer optional Google or Apple sign-in and server backup of selected data after separate consent.
A useful boundary
The app records when the native dialer opened successfully. It does not know whether a call was placed, answered, or completed, and it does not change your device's own call history.
